Three volumes in half leather bindings with marbled boards. Gilt titles to spines. All edges marbled. General wear to exteriors as shown with some marks/scuffs, slight splitting at bottom of volume one spine. Bookplate to each front board verso, Chares First Viscount. Each volume has an additional engraved title and letterpress title. Pages with a total of 117 plates, plus 2 maps, as called for. Light marginal age toning and the odd little mark here and there, otherwise pages and plates are generally clean as shown. |
