Fair-Good overall vint cond: For sale is this is this early, nailed corner, red ink stamped, vintage Pepsi-Cola wood box soda advertising shipping crate, featuring all wood construction, a wood plank floor, built-in, side cut-out lifting handles & side wood stacking strips. It has earlier, open sidewall construction, w/a slotted opening found on the bottom of the box's long sidewalls, allowing moisture to escape from the inside, preventing the wood from rotting due to moisture getting inside the crate from being stacked on damp basement concrete floors, the masonry floors of coolers or walk-ins. The single ink stamped sidewall graphic iconography is crisp & fairly clear, only slightly diminished by the effects of environmental conditions, the effects of time & prolonged exposure to light. The interior of the box is divided into 4 sections, separated by criss-crossing wooden slats. The resulting rectangles may have been there to ship soda syrup, used by pharmacies & restaurants.
