Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: Estate fresh & very cln. Fnd in a frmr business owner's desk in sthrn NH, west of Nashua. The fountain pen was prev used but was clrly a coveted correspondence prsnl accessory & was obvsly nvr abused. The celluloid body & cap are well-prsrvd for being nrly 90 yrs old & the plshd chrm ink bladder pump arm, pckt pen clasp & most imprtntly the stmpd Waterman 'Ideal' gold ink nib are both in well-pres antique cond, w/no deformities, ntcbl abrsns or other dprctng damage. A lvly pen in rmrkbl cond, w/mottled, variegated marble finish in ebony blk, mother of pearl wht & burnt sienna. We hvn't tkn the pen apart, rplcd the int bladder or had the pen serviced & restored. We aren't vint fountain pen specialists (even though prev, I possibly knew the best of the best fountain pen restorers in NYC.) Classic elegance & timeless patrician style. Not evryn had one. Not just a vint fountain pen but the Maserati of fountain pens. What are you driving? Very fine. |
