Easily Good, solid, rugged, substantial and straight, an obvious farmhouse workhorse, used not abused, was designated for 'BREAD ONLY!' We noted a couple of the serrated teeth missing, which probably resulted in the 'BREAD ONLY' engraving. Smooth tarnish and light rust patina on the blade - not at all rusted out and will clean up nicely if desired. Wonderful brass was tightly fashioned around seasoned hard wood and held firm by three oversized rugged bolsters securing the blade bottom throughout the handle length. Back in the day when something was made for the generations, had a place, and had a purpose. All original, no touch up or clean up. Plenty of closeup photos to inspect. |
