HISTORICAL ACE Motor Corporation also known as ACE was an American motorcycle manufacturer. The company was in continuous operation from 1919 to 1924 and intermittently thereafter until 1927. In 1917, William Bill Henderson sold the plans for his motorcycle to the Schwinn firm of Chicago. In 1919, he founded the ACE Motor Corporation in Philadelphia. There he created an in-line four-cylinder engine with 20 to 25 horsepower. In 1927, ACE, which was in difficulty, was taken over by Indian, which transferred manufacturing to Springfield.
