This is a phenomenal extra large size early 19th century 1820s/1830s kosher Regency grand portrait painting. Sometime in the 1950s or 60s this painting was cleaned, restored and reframed. At that time, the canvas was laid onto a Masonite backing board. Overall, a phenomenal vividly colored large sized portrait, painting featuring a nicely detailed Portrait of a lady. The attention to detail in her lace bonnet and dress are outstanding and her gracious style will easily become the center of attention in any room. Housed in a vintage wood carved gold painted frame. Overall excellent condition and begging to be back on display. Overall size 37“ x 44 1/2“. |
