EXCELLENT - statues: fine quality bisque, excellent original body with original finish. Design is crisp with great detailing. No age-related crazing. Figurines have no cracks, no chips, no repairs. paint very good. pedestal bases (may or may not be 'heuback'): The girl's pedestal base has some leaf damage, flaking to paint, and one leaf missing; does not detract. some leaf repair (gluing). both pedestal bases have splits in the stems which may be original design. please see last two pictures. OBSERVATIONAL NOTE: Considering that they are a paired set, the position of the girl's hands might indicate that she may have originally been holding a fishing pole (?). (although she looks perfectly fine without it). |
