The chest itself is an early traveling campaign or military style chest, which would have typically held bottles or hospital aid bottles securely inside. Overall solid condition and easily dating to the age of the bottles if not older. They replacement Board on the bottom and replacement brass escution around the keyhole look to be updates or repairs. Solid and perfect for display. The original lock is present with no key, and the upper portion of the lock was removed to facilitate opening the box by the previous owner. Minor cosmetic wear to the finished consistent with age. Light scuffs and minor structurally insignificant fractures.Estate fresh and ready for display. Overall size 13 1/2 inches deep by 16 inches across by 10 1/4 inches tall. |
