PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT ISSUE CONDTITIONS. Hardback leather bound book with lovely marbled page edges and end papers. About 2/3 of the leather on the spine is missing. The remaining portion (which includes the word BYRON) is present but loosely attached. (See photo # 5.) There is wear along the edges and at the corners of the boards. The front and back boards are both slightly bowed (concave). They are still attached but feel a bit loose. However, there are no inside splits to the marbled paper over the front and back hinges. There is foxing to the early and late pages including the frontispiece and title page. (See photos # 1 & 3.) There are a few markings at the top of the first two blank pages and of the last blank page (see photos # 8 & 9). No other markings. Not ex-library nor ex-libris. Please see all photos. (Photos # 11, 12, 13 are of the upper, the leading, and the lower page edges respectively.) Sold as is. |
